Choosing the Best Guest Bed - Versality and Comfort
If you frequently have out-of-town guests at your home for overnight visits, it is a good idea to invest in a bed specifically for them. Most people are concerned with the amount of space they have available in their homes, so the guest bed must be compact yet comfortable enough to serve its purpose. There are many options when it comes to guest beds.
For Single Guests
The most basic and economical way to make a guest bed is to purchase a single mattress, mattress board, and metal rail to fit a single mattress. To add a more stylish touch to a guest room, there are daybeds, which come with a variety of frames including wood, metal, and wicker. Usually sold as single beds, they are sometimes also available as full-sized beds.
For Multiple Guests
To accommodate two guests, a queen or king-sized bed can provide the necessary space for both to sleep comfortably. A couple of examples include trundle beds and sofa beds.
Trundle beds are available in a few different ways; the basic type includes an extra mattress that you can add under any bed. The mattress lies on a wood or metal frame, either on casters on the floor or attached to the existing bed frame. However, some trundle beds can convert into a double bed. In their original configuration, these are single beds with another single mattress underneath. When you need space for two people, the mattress below pulls out to align with the top mattress.
Another space-saving option is a sofa bed. These beds are now made with more advanced mattresses to provide optimum comfort. Many of these beds include memory foam mattresses, which conform to the contours of the body, making for a more restful night's sleep. Typically they are available in queen size, but they can also be purchased in twin (single) and full size.
When it comes to making your guests feel more at home, there is a wide array of bed options available on the market. The best one for you depends on your budget and the available space you have in your home. www.BedCentre.co.uk are on hand to offer impartial advice and information on the latest guest beds on offer - they've been helping people sleep since 1987.
